In 1891 the construction of the Trans-Siberian railway line from Chelyabinsk to Vladivostok was started. The Great Siberian Route passed through the present-day Novosibirsk Region. The railway line contributed to the formation of new cities on the basis of stations and little villages near these stations. The foundation of Novosibirsk was also connected with construction of the Trans-Siberian railway line. The railway bridge over the Ob River was one of the most important constructions of the time of Trans-Siberian railway line laying. It was also the leading advance in the engineering of the day.

Before the construction of railway line the right bank of the Ob River was covered by a dense pinery. A little village Gusevka of the Krivochekovskaya district, Tomski Region, was located here. In 1893 temporary villages of bridge builders and railway men appeared in this place. This year is considered to be the date of Novonikolaevsk's (Novosibirsk) birth. One of city's particularities is its rapid growth. Among the mega cities Novosibirsk is the highest growing. Less than in 70 years its population reached one million. For example Chicago needed 90, New-York – 250 and Moscow – more than 700 years to achieve this level. The bridge over the Ob River was opened for traffic in 1897. At the same time the village was named Novonikolaevsky after the emperor Nikolay II.

Due to this railway line Siberia was open for the national and foreign investments, extension of engines in the industrial sector and river transport, creation of joint companies, banks and commodity-money exchanges. Novosibirsk is one of the leading industrial centers of the Eastern Russia. There are more than 200 big and medium-sized industrial enterprises in the city. They produce almost everything – from casting, rolled products and aircrafts to electronics and jerseys. Its production volume is 70 per cent of the entire Region's production. Novosibirsk is one of the most important transport junctions of Russia. The city is located at the intersection of Trans-Siberian railway line and the railways going to Altai and Kuzbass, Kazakhstan and Central Asia. There are many federal roads here. The airports ‘Tolmachevo’ and ‘Novosibirsk’ serve international, domestic and regional air lines. The river main line passes on the Ob River.

Novosibirsk is the unique center of science and education. Today its system of the scientific and educational institutions ranks third in Russia. The city's theatre and music life is very reach. There are eight professional theatres in Novosibirsk, and one of the biggest is the Novosibirsk State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet which is very popular not only in Russia, but abroad.

Historical dates:

In 1897 the railway bridge over the Ob River was opened for the traffic. The village was named Novonikolaevsk after the emperor Nikolay II.

In 1903 Novonikolaevsk received the status of a city.

In 1913 Novonikolaevsk became one of the first communities in the Russian Empire to introduce compulsory elementary education.

In 1926 the city was renamed Novosibirsk.

In 1953-59 the Novosibirsk hydro-electric power station (GES) was built.

In 1957 the Siberian branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences (today the Russian Academy of Sciences) was created. The construction of the Academic Town (Akademgorodok) and the Novosibirsk scientific center was started.

In 1979 the construction of the first subway in Siberia began. The first line was opened in December 1985.

The main principle of our work is quality and reliability of cargo forwarding.
