Naberezhnye Chelny (in 1982-88 named the Brezhnev city) is one of the most ancient Russian settlements in Tatarstan. It was founded in 1650, but before, under the Kazan Khanate, there was a Tatar town Chamy. The settlement gained city status in 1930. Nowadays Naberezhnye Chelny is subject to the republic of Tatarstan and the centre of the Tukayev Region, with the second-highest population in Tatarstan.

The history of Naberezhnye Chelny is rather interesting. The city has lived its youth two times and can be considered both an ancient city and a very young one.

Before the First World War Naberezhnye Chelny was a large trade village with more than 8 thousand homesteads, 17 steam-driven mills and 2 watermills, 168 trade enterprises, some brick making plants, timberworks, etc. In 1917 a Belgo-German company built the second in volume elevator in Russia (32 thousand tons). After the Revolution during the Civil War in Russia the city saw fierce battles between the White Army and the Red Army.

After the Second World War Naberezhnye Chelny remained for many years an avergare regional town with a population of approximately 10 thousand people.

The decision to build an automobile plant ‘KamAZ’, the Goliath of car industry, was a milestone in the history of a small country town. That period was marked by a building boom. In 1663 the construction of the Nizhnekamskaya hydroelectric power plant began. In December of 1969 excavation works were started at the construction site of the ‘KamAZ’ automobile plant. In February of 1976 the first car was produced. By October 18, 1988 the ‘KamAZ’ produced one million cars.

After the Great Patriotic War Naberezhnye Chelny became the centre of the country largest oil-bearing area. This zone is the beginning of the world’s strongest oil-pipe line ‘Druzhba’ connected to a main pipe-line from Samotlor deposit.

Historical dates:

In 1650 Naberezhnye Chelny was founded.

In 1930 Naberezhnye Chelny achieved the status of a city.

In 1969 the construction of the ‘KamAZ’ automobile plant began .

In 1976 the ‘KamAZ’ produced the first car.

The main principle of our work is quality and reliability of cargo forwarding.
