The history of Nizni Tagil is closely related to the history of the mining industry of the Ural.
In 1702 by decree of Peter the Great, Demidov gave permission for the construction of the ironworks near the Mount Magnit (later this mountain was called Vysokaya). The construction of the Nizhnetagilski ironworks and metalworking plant and the Vyjski copper works continued some years. The construction was carried out on the best European models. The Vyjski plant started to work in 1722. The village appeared near this plant. By the Uralian tradition this village received the name of its plant. .Nizhnetagilski and Vyjski villages increasingly merged with other villages, and by the 1770s they represented a big urban community with about five thousand of population and considerable commercial and industrial group. But the great majority of population was represented by the bondmen named ‘mining bonds of the Demidovs’. By the end of the 18th century Nizhni Tagil became a big industrial and cultural center. In 1806 the Nizhnetagilski mountain district was established, and all the factories were relegated to this district. The construction of the mining railway line in the 1870s, its connection with neighboring factories and narrow-gauge lines contributed to this process.
On January 1918 the district of the mountain works Nizhnetagilski and Lunievski was nationalized, and industrial enterprises became the part of the Nizhnetagilski metallurgical trust.

On October 13, 1931 the Presidium of the Executive Committee of the Uralian Region (Uraloblispolcom) issued a decree that determined a future development of Nizhni Tagil. It was related to the construction of a chemical industrial complex for a charred cool processing, new metallurgical plant and wagon works. A rapid growth of the city began from this moment.

In 1932 the construction of the first shop floors of the Uralian wagon works began. In four years the first freight wagon was constructed here. At the same time the first tramway started to work in Nizhni Tagil.

Due to a powerful industrial base of the city some evacuated enterprises such as the metallurgical plant and the chemical industrial complex for a charred cool processing from Krivoi Rog, the car-building works from Moscow and St. Petersburg as well as the trust of the Lenrud, were relocated in Nizhni Tagil during the Great Patriotic War. From 1941 till 1945 35 thousand famous tanks T34 were produced in Nizhni Tagil.

From 1940 till the end of the 1960s many metallurgical, chemical, mining and food processing enterprises, as well as cultural and sports facilities were constructed in Nizhni Tagil. Today this city is a classic example of an industrial center. Due to its population size and economic capacity Nizhni Tagil is among the first thirty cities of Russia.

Historical dates:

In 1722 the Nizhnetagilski metalworking plant started to work.

In 1939 the first educational institution - teachers' college – was opened in Nizhni Tagil.

On June 25, 1940 the Nizhnetagilski metalworking plant produced the first cast iron, and on September – the first steel.

The main principle of our work is quality and reliability of cargo forwarding.
